ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated Retail Counter Sales/Inside Sales Representative to join our business. This job entails selling steel material to the general public and/or introducing the company to both new and established clients, quoting prices for customers, and entering, tracking, and following up on orders. Most importantly, a successful Inside Sales Representative builds relationships with current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, advise and/or help people walking into our retail store based on their needs.
  • Write up all orders for walk-in customers, ensuring the accuracy of all relevant details (e.g. specifications, processing requirements, delivery, etc.)
  • Maintain and expand customer database
  • Attend sales group meetings
  • Capture accurate and complete information in customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Utilize CRM Software to keep track of important customer contacts
  • Quote and handle order execution from acceptance to completion
  • Communicate with customers regarding current relative market information and capture relevant feedback
  • Obtain and provide feedback on competitor pricing/equipment to management
  • Establish creditable relationships with new customers and maintain ongoing relationships with existing customer base
  • Manage a database of potential customers and contact them regularly for new business opportunities
  • Partner with Outside Sales Rep to build a pipeline of opportunities and close sales
  • Note suggestions or complaints and communicate to the Quality/Operations group.
  • Support the Quality System of the Company

Education & Experience:

  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
